How much does Fiverr take from a seller?
This page does not answer with a number, because it could not read one at the source. It tells you where that leaves you, gives you a calculator for the rate your own Fiverr account shows, and works out what the same order would cost in fees if a direct client paid you through a payment provider.
No Fiverr figure is published here. On 2026-10-06 the automated reader behind this site tried five official Fiverr pages, including the help article on payments and fees for freelancers, the payment terms and the terms of service. Every one of them refused automated reading (HTTP 403). This site only publishes a fee it could read on the provider's own page that day, so it publishes none for Fiverr rather than repeat a number from memory or from another site. Fiverr states its seller fee in its own help centre and terms, and your account shows what was deducted from each order.

For comparison: what a payment from your own direct client costs
A marketplace fee and a payment fee do not buy the same thing: the marketplace is also where the client finds you, while a payment provider only moves the money. The table shows what a US freelancer keeps when a direct client, one who came to you outside any marketplace, pays a domestic invoice of 100, 500 and 2,000 US dollars by card, by bank debit or by bank transfer.
This table is for your own direct clients. Marketplaces generally forbid moving a client you met there to payment outside the marketplace; check the terms you agreed to before doing so.

Costs outside the per-payment fee
- Wise Business publishes a one-time 31 US dollar fee to get account details.
- Payoneer publishes a 1.50 US dollar fee to withdraw to a US bank account in US dollars, and a 29.95 US dollar annual account fee charged only when the account receives less than 6,000 US dollars in any 12 consecutive months.
- Stripe publishes an Instant Payout for US accounts at 1.5% with a minimum of 0.50 US dollars; no fee for a standard Stripe payout was read, so none is recorded.
- Finding the client. None of the rows above includes what it costs you to find a client without a marketplace.
